New Bat Box Live Streaming Camera
We have installed a newly custom designed bat box that includes a live streaming HD camera in 1080p resolution with an audio MIC. The camera was installed in a remote setting in South Western Pennsylvania on March 29, 2022. The box was installed on a pole about 15′ high in an open area facing southwest in order to capture the afternoon sun to heat the box for the bats.
Below are some photos of the box construction process. The box is 24″ x 24″ and has four chambers and a nice landing pad for the bats.
We hope to attract bats sometime this spring or summer, but it might take longer. Be sure to check in on the live stream often!
