Welcome to the first edition of WildWatch Weekly as we embark on a thrilling journey through the untamed wonders of the natural world! Our first edition will cover the 2024 bald eagle nesting season with our 3 live streaming camera nesting sites!

Pittsburgh Hays Bald Eagle Nest

We have several major upgrades to the Pittsburgh Hays bald eagle nest cam this year. We have installed a higher resolution camera for your viewing pleasure this season. We also had a major upgrade in powering the camera system this year. With a very generous donation from Duquesne Light Company and United States Steel Corporation we are now powering the Hays camera with AC power! We no longer will need to power the live stream down to conserver battery power as we did in previous years.

We also have a new male at the nest this year named “V”. We do not know what happened to the previous male but the female has accepted the new male and we expect to see the first egg of the season any day now.

U. S. Steel Bald Eagle Nest

The U. S. Steel Bald Eagle Nest had some major upgrades as well. There are three new HD cameras installed at the nest this year allowing viewers to watch the eagles from many different angles! We are live streaming several views, Cam 1 in the nest tree, Cam 1 & Cam 2 Dual View, Cam 3 hill above the nest view.

We also want to give a big shout out to Don German from USS for his continual bald eagle ambassadorship in the Pittsburgh area. Don gives weekly bald eagle informational presentations to many local schools, organizations, and care homes. Don was also a major part of bringing power to the Hays camera this season. Thank you Don for all you do for the community!

LMC Bald Eagle Nest

This will mark the third year since we installed the Little Miami Conservancy bald eagle nest camera located in Miami, Ohio. This nest is located along the Little Miami National Wild & Scenic River. This new camera was installed in September of 2021. It is part of the awareness and conservation efforts of the Little Miami Conservancy. Established in 1967, this organization seeks to support and improve the area surrounding the Little Miami National Wild and Scenic River in the state of Ohio. The nest is located within private land.
